FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Forward Outdoor is a family-owned outdoor experience company on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get outside and on the water. We’re launching an exciting, high-profile new location at Discovery World in downtown Milwaukee, partnering with Lakeshore State Park and Summerfest, to complement our existing river kayaking and outdoor wellness offerings.
Our brand, voice, and positioning are established, and our website is currently being updated to reflect the new season. This is a flexible, project-based contractor role with most work happening between April and September.
Projects may include
- Signage for our lakeshore location at Discovery World
- Signage for our river trip location
- Event graphics and promotional materials
- Van and trailer graphics
- Flyers for community boards and partner locations
- Brochures and printed materials for guests
- Social media graphics as needed
We’re looking for someone who
- Can design clean, clear signage and marketing materials
- Is comfortable with both print and digital design
- Works well independently and communicates clearly
- Can keep designs consistent with our existing brand
- Has experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools
Interest in outdoor recreation or mission-driven businesses is a bonus.

- Hourly or per-project compensation depending on scope
