We accept walk-ups on a first-come first-served basis. You will scan a QR code to sign up and pay, digitally sign your liability waivers, then you’ll receive a hand stamp. You can then get in line for the watercraft of your choice!

No. All of our experiences are beginner friendly. We take safety seriously and always provide you with high quality gear, safety instruction and orientations.

Forward Outdoor is all about making outdoor adventures easy and accessible. We offer scenic one-way kayaking on the upper Milwaukee River as well as paddling at the Dock at Milwaukee’s iconic Discovery World. Here you can rent paddle boats, kayaks, paddleboards and hydro bikes.

Yes, last year there was a corporate sponsor which enabled us to offer this as a complimentary experience. While that partner did not participate this year, we look forward to offering an affordable way to experience Summerfest from a unique perspective!

Weight limits are as follows:

Paddle Boats: 800 lbs
Single Kayaks: 275 lbs
Tandem Kayaks: 450 lbs
Hydro Bike: 250 lbs

There is also a minimum weight of 50 lbs for kids on paddle boats and tandem kayaks. There must be an adult accompanying any child under 12 on a tandem kayak.

Due to the hole-in-one contest to the south and inlet closure to the north you are able to explore the oval-shaped lagoon that is within sight of the dock. 

Kids love getting out on the water! All kids must be at least 50 lbs, and can go in both a paddle boat or a tandem kayak with an adult.
