Paddle with a Naturalist from Milwaukee Riverkeeper: Saukville
We’re excited to partner with Milwaukee Riverkeeper on a couple of Paddle with a Naturalist events! This is event 2 of 2. MRK’s own Cheryl Nenn will lead participants on a journey from Waubedonia Park in Fredonia to Ehlers Park in Saukville on the Milwaukee River. As part of Cheryl’s role as Riverkeeper for MRK, she is a passionate wealth of knowledge about the plants and animals that call the Milwaukee River basin home. She will share her knowledge and enthusiasm with participants as you paddle down the river.
As an outreach program of Riverkeeper, Forward Outdoor is offering discount pricing of just $55 per person (+taxes/fees) for a single kayak ($95 for a tandem), with $20 ($40 for tandem) of that donated back to the organization! We will meet at Ehlers Park in Saukville, then hop in the Forward Outdoor van and be driven up to Waubedonia Park in Fredonia to begin. You will end up back at your car in Saukville. Paddling time alone is normally about 2 hours for this section.
